Hi! I'm Woody. Pleased to meet you. Welcome to my website.

First, a little bit about me. I'm retired from a career as a mainframe programmer
and systems analyst. I live in Roanoke, VA with my wife Sue and our (currently)
three cats.

Creating this site is something I've thought about doing for years,
but I never had the time or the enthusiasm until I retired.

I've developed the site for several reasons. One, I was just interested to see what it
is like to do web-based programming, since I had no experience at all in that area.

Two, I wanted to have a place where I could discuss my interest in sports collectibles,
primarily sports cards. I'm interested in possibly selling or trading with other collectors, and
maybe even buying.

Three, I wanted to support a small business that a group of my friends and I have started.
We have a monthly sports collectibles show here in Roanoke for which I have created a
Facebook business page. I needed a place to store some documents that are longer than
Facebook will allow.

Fourth, I've been playing guitar since 1964. I wanted to show my guitars and maybe present
a few recorded samples of my playing.

Finally, you may have deduced that I'm a "cat person". I wanted to show the cats that Sue and I have
had and tell a little bit about them.

That's it. Nothing earthshaking - just my own little "for fun" website. Hope you find something
